Copper
Lady Of Kanawaki: Through her son MV Ch
Eko-Lan's Aragon CDX, she was the foundation of Eko-Lan Kennels.
Bred one time to GV Troll V. Richterbach ROM, she had 3 puppies.
She was shown one time and took a 5pt Major under Gustaf Shindler,
amature handled. We then sent her to be bred to Ch Harry Vom Donaki
ROM (sire of double Seiger Volker). She unfortunatley became lost
in St. Louis and I never saw her again. I then leased her Dam, Lady
Anne Of Pinehurst and bred her to Harry. From this litter came Eko-Lan's
Anna Karanina.
Eko-Lan's Anna Karanina: (Harry x Lady Anne)
When bred to Ch Aragon produced Eko-Lan's
Ebb Tide.
Eko-Lan's Ebb Tide: (Aragon
x Anna Karanina) When bred to Ch Elwillow
Ursus (inbred Gingus) produced Eko-Lan's Gemini (dam of
Morgan) and Eko-Lan's Glory (dam of
Paladen).
Eko-Lan's
Gemini & Eko-Lan's Glory ROM: Both of these
bitches were bred one time by me and then sold. I could only keep
a limited number of dogs.
Am & Can Ch Eko-Lan's Stardust: (Morgan
x Helena) Futurity Victrix 1971, Best of Opposite to her litter
brother Shiloh.
Eko-Lan's Elaina ROM: (Dreamweaver
x Tally-Ho V. Unserhause) Elaina was the product of breeding a Paladen
daughter to Sel Ch Tanbark's Dreamweaver.
Elaina was the beginning of a new era here at Eko-Lan. Of all the
brood bitches here at that time, we mostly retained Elaina offspring.
She embodied the improvements that we were looking for from Dreamweaver.
Ch Eko-Lan's Dancer: (Judilew's Assassin
x Elaina ROM) Bred to Ch Bren Of Gan Edan
twice, producing a total of 5 puppies. 3 with normal coast, 2 of
the 3 normal coats finished their championships. Ch
Eko-Lan's Quo Vadis ROM and Ch Eko-Lan's
Sonata, with both of these bitches winning their Maturities.
Ch
Eko-Lan's Quo Vadis ROM: Most of what we have today comes down
from "QB" (affectionatley known as). QB was from a one puppy litter.
As she grew, it was obvious she was special. Extreme both ends,
excellent pigment, perfect coming and boing. She was very hard in
temperment, maybe a bit overprotective of my wife (Ellen loved it).
She was #1 Futurity/Maturity Producer and in the Top 10 for 3 years
running. She was a slow maturer and was not shown until her Maturity.
QB was a very special girl and still gives us joy to think of her.
Ch
Eko-Lan's Sonata: from the repeat breeding of "Quo Vadis", also
won her Maturity and finished her Championship in 4 straight shows.
Poorly managed in the brood pen, she gave us very little. In hindesite,
Sonata was one of those bitches that we wish we could start anew
with breeding wise.
MV
Sel Ch Eko-Lan's Theda: (Sel Ch Jett-Land's Rambler x Elaina
ROM) (owned by Rita & Alan Sandell and Jane Firestone) Theda
was from a litter of four, which 3 finished (Talisman
and Thunderation) and the other
littermate had both majors and her owners had family problems, so
we purchased her back, but she was too old and fat to show.
Ch
Eko-Lan's Irma Le Douce: Irma was sired by Ch
Eko-Lan's Wracker and out of Ch Dancer's littermate, Daquiri.
Irma was a medium sized bitch with good movement, not extreme, but
balanced end to end. She possessed a wonderful temperment and a
zest for life. Though she never produced anything of noteriety,
her offspring were mentally sound and good representatives of the
breed. Another dog that gave her all and asked nothing but love
in return.
Eko-Lan's Isis: Sired by Ch Handsome
V Cypress out of Ch Eko-Lan's Quo Vadis
ROM. Isis came from a very good litter. Isis along with her
litter brother, Immo, won her first major at 6 months and 5 days
of age. Her brother went WD and BOW, she went WB. She won her Maturity
and went BIM with her other litter brother Isiah going Opposite
to her. Her litter sister Ch Eko-Lan's
I'm Precocious (owned by Gene & Sharon Jasinski and Tom Castriota)
won her Maturity also. Good litter, bad luck litter. Isis developed
"dry eye", treated 3 times a day until she died at 12 years of age.
We lost Immo at 1 year of age. Only "I'm Precocious" finished her
Championship.
Ch Eko-Lan's Geneva: (Sel Ch Langenau's
Beau of Jeanden ROM x Ch Dancer) Another
beautiful bitch of great substance, boadering on being "doggy",
balanced, beautiful movement, great show attitude, bred here and
co-owned by Bob Eaton.
Eko-Lan's
Just Because: (Sel Ch Yarmork's Elvis x Eko-Lan's Unique (Flag
x Quo Vadis)) "Justy" won her Maturity Class and will be shown in
the Fall of 2001.
Darby-Dan's
Werra: Darby Dan's Werra was conceived in Germany and whelped
in the US. She and her sister, Darby Dan's Wanna were sired by Shanto's
Xano SchH3 VA5 out of Merto's Palme SchH3 Kk1. These girls were
acquired by Eko-Lan to bring in vigor and to firm up nervs and ligementation.
Frank and Kris Fasano now co-own both of these bitches with Eko-Lan.
Ch
Charnap's LuLu Of Eko-Lan: (Sired by Eko-Lan's Unforgiven (Flag
x Quo Vadis) x Ch Charnaps' Burning
Amber ROM (Wracker x Elaina
daughter). Lulu is near perfect standard, 22 1/2" tall, 50 lbs.(soaking
wet). LuLu won her Futurity and her Maturity and finished her Championship
in very few shows. She is now (as of 6-1-01) near 6 years old and
has not produced a puppy.(bred 2 times). We haven't given up yet!
Sunriz
IQ of Hylock Merivern ROM: (Hylock's Peacemaker x Sel Ch Ardric's
QT of Dia Hill) Co-owned with Maryann Imhoff. "IQ" aquired her ROM
in one litter, sired by Am & Can Sel Ch Eko-Lan's
Nemisis, with 3 Champions and 1 nearing her Championship. She
has qualifyers in at least 1 other litter thus far. She now has
a litter on the ground sired by Eko-Lan's
By Myself (Nemisis x Isis).
They look very promising.
Am
& Can Sel Ch Eko-Lan's Havoc v Merivern: sired by Sel
Ch Nemisis out of IQ ROM. Havoc is 1 of
3 Champions from her litter with another sister nearing her Championship.
Havoc possess beautiful breed type and exquisite feathery movement,
clean at both ends. We hope to retire her from the show ring by
the end of 2001 and have high expectations for her in the brood
box here at Eko-Lan.
